Ten Star/Ten Star Gold Designation Contributions to the AFP Foundations for Philanthropy

The AFP Foundations for Philanthropy in the U.S., Canada and Mexico champion philanthropy and volunteerism by developing the nonprofit sector’s current and future leaders, welcoming diverse new voices into the charitable world and rigorously upholding the highest standards of ethics. Your chapter’s support of the foundations (through gifts to the Chapter Impact Campaign and 100% Board Participation) are included in the goals for the Ten Star and Ten Star Gold chapter designations.
Below are the descriptions for these goals as well as the current listing of those chapters who have met them in the current year.
Chapter Impact Campaign - Required for Ten Star AND Ten Star Gold
The AFP Foundations for Philanthropy asks AFP Chapters to consider a gift* from their budget to support the fundraising profession through the Chapter Impact Campaign. Chapters can designate a specific area of support or provide unrestricted funds for the Foundation to determine where the funds should be best directed. The areas of focus that the chapters can choose are leadership development, IDEA, Chamberlain Scholarships or Capacity Building. This gift cannot be made online. *A minimum gift of US$50.
100% Board Participation - Required for Ten Star Gold AND Ten Star Gold
One of the required goals to achieve Ten Star and Ten Star Gold is to achieve 100% Board participation. This means that every member of your chapter board has made a personal gift to the AFP Foundations for Philanthropy in the U.S., Canada or Mexico.
